The day I met grey everything changed. I was walking down to the bus stop on moffits street when I saw a strange man standing there. It's where I was going so once I was there I struck up a conversation with him.  "Hi" I said he then turned his head towards me and said "hi" though he didn't seem interested. "Nice day were having isn't it?" I asked. He looked around "its raining" he said. "I know but I like rain" I responded, he looked around again "its ok" he said. “where are you going?” I asked, he looked at his watch and said “To barrowen”. “I’m heading there to!” I said shaking my fists. “that’s nice” he said looking at the ground. “Your not one for talking are you?” I asked. “Not really” he said. “why are you going to barrowen?” I asked. He looked up and said “I have work to do there”. “What kind of work?” I asked, “the hard kind” He said. “Whats so hard about it?” I asked. “It’s just hard” He said. “Do you have help?” I asked. “No” he said. “How come?” I asked. “Because I can do it myself” he said. “But woudn’t help be nice?” I asked. “Not realy” he said. “Why so?” I asked. “Because I don’t like people” He said. “why don’t you like people ?” I asked. “Because their annoying” He said looking at me. “why’s that?” I asked he then stepped forward and asked “How manny questions are you gona ask?”. I frowned “I don’t know” I said. “well can you not ask anymore?” he asked. “Why?” I asked.

Catherin :I don’t understand Apollo what are you saying

Apollo: I’m saying that the world is going to burn and the gods are going to go down with it.

Catherin: Apollo don’t be silly, that could never happen.

Apollo: Believe what you want but we, the gods, will be forgotten… and new gods shall be worshipped in what’s left of civilisation.

Catherin: I don’t understand, your not making any sense Apollo!

Apollo: The world will burn and so shall we.

Catherin: Apollo, please don’t speak that way.

Apollo: This is my goodbye to you.

Catherin: Wait, bring all the gods tonight at this very spot I have a plan.

Apollo: No they cant know of the future and what is fated for them.

Catherin: Just let me see one god then, just let me save one.

Apollo: I don’t think this is a good idea.

Catherin: Please my love, if this is to be the last time I see you then grant me this one last wish.

Apollo: ~sighs~ If you insist, you must know that if I do grant this wish I won’t come back for you

Catherin: If that is the price I must pay to save another so be it.

Apollo: Who do you wish to speak with?

Catherin: Hades.

Apollo: Im afraid that might be close to impossible, for he never leaves the underworld.

Catherin: Trust me I’m sure he will agree.

Apollo: Is there something youre not telling me?

Catherin: No, I would never lie to you my love.

Apollo: Ok, so be it my love ~kisses her then disappears~

Hades: I don’t understand why I should do this.

Apollo: Her name is Catherin, she said she knew that you would do this for her.

Hades: But your story makes absolutely no sense, we gods are immortal!

Apollo: We may not be able to die, but we can be imprisoned.

Hades: Tell me what you saw.

Apollo: Just flashes, I saw the whole world covered in ash and we were nowhere to be seen,  new gods took our place

Hades: I will go see this girl Catherin, but in exchange you must remain here until I return.

Apollo: Do I have your bond that I shall be released?

Hades: No, Im afraid I cant promise such a thing.

Apollo: I will not tell you of her whereabouts without your word.

Hades: Fine, I give you my word, now tell me where she is.

Apollo: She remains in Pompei, she has not moved locations.

Hades: Ill deal with you later ~storms off.~

Hades: Catherin, ahh there you are!

Catherin: Hades, I thought you would never come.

Hades: I know ever since I revived you we haven’t seen each other much, but my feeling haven’t changed for you.

Catherin: I feel the same, but Apollo told me of the danger that awaits you and your family.

Hades: And Apollo? What is he to you?!

Catherin: Nothing, I just used him to get to you my love.

Hades: Ok, well what is so urgent I must leave my kingdom?

Catherin: You were told of your fate and the destruction, were you not?

Hades: The world burning shall not affect the underworld it is shielded by the earths core, I shall take refuge there, and why should I care about the filth like what you used to be?

Catherin: Oh, am I simply filth in your eyes?

Hades: No, of course not. Against the wishes of my brothers I made you immortal. You are my forbidden secret

Catherin: Yes I know my love, but we must discuss more important matters now.

Hades: What could be more important right now?

Catherin: The destruction of the world.                                                                            

Hermes: Hades I have a message from Apollo.

Hades: Very well, read it to me.

Hermes: “Hades, I have kept my end of our promise now keep yours.”

Hades: Very well then, tell zues of Apollo’s visions about the destruction of the world and us; go now!

~all the gods are gathered~

Zues: Where is Apollo, I thought he saw this fate for us?!

Hades: Be calm my brother, he will be here in due time.

Zues: What does that mean?

Hades: Trust me it is better left for later, we have more pressing matters to attend to. Ok then, has everyone gathered? Yes lets go greet them

Zues: I am sure you are all curious as to why I gathered you today.

All gods: Yes we are.

Zues: I called you here to discuss our fate, im afraid something terrible happened or will happen. Apollo, you all know him as the god of oracle, he has had a vision of the world burning, to ashes.

Artemis: But how will this affect us? We live on mount Olympus, will our home be burned to ashes as well?!

Zues: I’m afraid so.

Artemis: So what happens then? What good is being immortal if our world is in ruins, father?

Zues: Well-

Hades: I might have a solution to the danger.

Hera: Well speak up then, tell us!

Hades: The Underworld is shielded by the earths core, nothing… no matter how hot could enter, I propose we take refuge in the Underworld until this madness is over with. If I grant you permission to enter will you be willing?

Aphrodite: How can we guarantee our safe return?

Hades: I cannot promise you anything.

Aphrodite: Then we will not go.

Hades: Then you shall stay here, and burn along with your home.

Zues: That’s enough! We shall begin the voting now. All in favor

 (Persephone, aphrodieite, and Demeter sit)

Zues: please state your reasoning beginning with Persephone

Persephone: I’m already trapped theyre during the year against my will why should I go willingly

Hades: to spare your life

Persephone: what makes you so sure we would not survive, we are immortal, are we not?

Hades: The pain will be unbearable. Not only will you see your own home burn in front of your eyes but also the pain of being burned alive will be unbarable.

Demeter: do we have a choice then

Zues: Hades, as king of the gods, I order you to promise us safe return.

Hades: Fine my brother, I promise you all safe return.

~rumbling noise getting louder and louder~

Aphrodite: Is, is that what I think it is?

Hades: Im afraid so, everyone follow me… quickly!

Perphpone: no  im not going

Aphrodite: are you crazy it has started

Perphone: I’de rather burn then go back to hades

Hades: I love you to much to let that happen

Perphone: well than you shall burn with me

Zues: hades we need to go

Demeter: im staying as well

Hermes: If you wish to be in agony fine but you will not jeperdise the rest of us we need hades to lead us into the underworld

Hades: I’ll come back for you my love

Catherin: Oh hades please accept this offering of pomegranit juice an meat, I have been waiting for you to return my love because the it’s begun black flakes rain from the sky and even as I speak the roof is crumbling…hades I need (wall falls on her)

(Hades appears)

Hades: Catherin! (runs to her side) My love, I forbid you to die. (begins removing rocks off of her) I will save you.

Catherin: Thanks but I am immortal, right?

Hades: Of course… but still let me help you, I cant bear it if your in pain.

Catherin: Thanks… but look outside.

Hades: Oh Im sorry my love, when im around you I can only focus on your beauty.

Catherin: great but can you get these rocks off of me

Hades: right sorry

Catherin: I guess this is my end

Hades: What do you speak of?

Catherin: Ash falling from the sky, like black rain. The world is ending and I have no place to take refuge.

Hades: Come with me my dear

Catherin: Ok, I trust you.

Hades: This way.

Zues: Hades why has your arrival been so delayed?

Aphrodite: Where have you been? You promised you would only be gone shortly.

Hades: I had some business to attend to.

Apollo: What type of business?

Hades: Let me introduce to you Catherin. (speaking at the gods)

Artemis: Oh, Persephone, did you change your mind? (hugs catherin)

Catherin: Oh, my name is Catherin… not Persephone.

Artemis: But you look just like her…

Aphrodite: The resemblance is odd…

Apollo: Catherin, you have returned my love.

Catherin: oh yes… of course I would come for you

Zues: Hades, Apollo… may I have a word?

Hades: Of course

Zues: Apollo im assuming this… girl… has something to do with you. BUT WHY MIGHT I ASK UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES YOU BRING A LIVING MORTAL HERE, OF ALL PLACES… TO THE UNDERWORLD?! SHE MUST GO TO THE JUDGES

Hades: NO please I did it by request of Apollo

Apollo: I would never wish such a thing on her.

Zues: You didn’t answer my question hades.

Hades: She was dying, I took pity upon her this was the only safe place I could think of.

Zues: Why did you not tell me this, was it necessary to give the blame to another?

Hades: I apologize.

Zues: Apology not forgiven, this is forbidden,you know what must happen

Apollo: NO

Zues: it is the law

Hades: please my brother I have never asked anything of you let her remain here safe and with us let us spare her life

Zues: no …….. return her to the surface at once.

Apollo/Hades: (shocked) But she will die!

Zues: Im afraid this will not be your only punishment… now go!

Hades: Fine, but you will regret this day…this I promise my brother.

Apollo: I as well. Hades may I accompany you?

Hades: Im afraid I only have enough coins for one.

Apollo: Coins?

Hades: Yes, to cross the river of styx.

Apollo: Oh yes…

(Hades Enters)

Catherin: Hello my love

Hades: Hello, Catherin….

Catherin: What troubles you?

Hades: Im afraid you cant stay here, I have been ordered to return you to the surface at once.

Catherin: No, you promised me you would protect me!

Hades: I know, but that was under different circumstances.

Catherin: And your feelings change for me on a whim?

Hades: No, of course not…

Catherin: Then spare me?!

Hades: Come now, Charon is waiting our arrival

Catherin: Charon?

Hades: Charon is the ferryman; he takes passengers over the river of styx, for the river is made of magma.

Catherin: Oh… so is this you rejecting my request?

Hades: No, I promised you I would protect you and I intend to keep that promise… but you must realize that I can’t protect you here.

Catherin: Don’t be absurd!

Hades: Please, trust me…

Catherin: Very well, but only this once.

Hades: I have an idea…

Catherin: Speak you mind then.

Hades: We can hide you in tartarus!

Catherin: Are you insane? You cant hide me in tatorus!

Hades: It’s the only safe place I can think of!
